More people are embracing individuality and personality in their bathrooms, creating a sanctuary that’s perfect for them.
But which style is best for you? While there are plenty of 2024 bathroom trends to incorporate in your home, why not consider styling your bathroom to your star sign? Our star signs reveal so much about our personality, and what we need from our homes.
That’s why we’ve teamed up with astrology expert, Emily Thornton from Solar Sister Tarot and Lauren Pell, Head of Design Hub at Virtual Worlds to create 12 3D horoscope-inspired spaces to influence your next bathroom refresh. To help you get the look in your own bathroom, we’ve also included recommended products throughout the guide.

Aries (21st March-19th April)
The first fire sign of the zodiac, Aries are “bold and feisty," says Emily. “As an Aries, you will also have a vibrant personality, and your bathroom should always reflect this.” Vibrant shades such as reds, oranges, and yellows will therefore work well with an Aries bathroom. To compliment these warm tones, fearless Aries’ can include statement pieces such as a pastel-coloured basin, a capsule mirror, and metallic fixtures, fittings and bathroom accessories in timeless shades like gold. These add an element of grandeur that has remained a firm favourite with consumers over the years.
But be warned, Aries. As Emily suggests, “Aries are represented by fire, so tend to make impulsive decisions. They will need to carefully think through their bathroom design before settling on the final layout or jumping on the latest trend.”
Taurus (20th April-20th May)
“Taurus are often stereotyped as lazy - but you’re far from it. You just know that relaxing is just as important as productivity,” states Emily. “You can’t be productive without rest and for a Taurus, it’s all about balance! That’s why a Taurus needs a safe haven where they can truly be at peace.”
A Taurus bathroom is typically rustic in appearance, with elements such as a copper effect freestanding bath, alongside green, brown and other earthy-tones to bring a calmness and natural ambiance to the space. These colours look to connect our spaces with nature and the intrinsic desire to be in contact with the natural world - perfect for Taurus’. The introduction of good houseplants in bathroom spaces can also bring a sense of calmness. Consider adding eucalyptus, spider plants, fern, or bamboo to the space.
Gemini (21st May-20th June)
The first air sign of the zodiac, Emily confirms that “the bathroom of a chatty, socialite Gemini must be a talking point! Represented by air, Geminis need interesting features that will get tongues wagging and act as the perfect space to get ready and feel glamorous.”
Modern bathroom designs are therefore the focus for glamorous Geminis. Geminis will want to incorporate big, statement mirrors to enhance the space, either above the sink or bath to truly open up the room. Practical and essentially minimal, this design will allow Gemini’s products to do the talking, with plenty of storage solutions throughout to offer the perfect backdrop for a bathroom shelfie.
Cancer (21st June-22nd July)
“Home-bird Cancers need a haven to retreat to after a long day,” advises Emily. “They would find it easier to recharge in a bathroom that makes them feel like they’re relaxing in the ocean. So a huge bubble bath surrounded by candles to wash their sins away is just what they need!”
Opt for ocean-themed statement walls enriched with blues and greens, and add homely touches like candles and diffusers. Since water-sign Cancers like to spend hours in the tub, a big, grand statement bath is just what’s needed to set the scene. Creative Cancer’s can even turn their hand to DIY by painting their existing bathtub to give their space a new lease of life.
Leo (23rd July-22nd August)
“Leos are warm, sunny, big hearted and a little bit dramatic! They are represented by the sun in astrology, so they are definitely the shining star of the zodiac and their bathroom should stand out from the crowd," states Emily.
Incorporate warm, rich colours – such as oranges and reds, paired with dramatic, eye-catching statement pieces for a perfect Leo sanctuary. Leos are known to take care of themselves, so space for self-care is a must! A large round mirror opposite a window, letting in plenty of light, is a must-have to help them lean into this, along with a large walk-in or wetroom shower for them to spend time grooming.
Virgo (23rd August-22nd September)
“Virgos are organised, and detail orientated," comments Emily. “Their space should be like walking into a showroom - perfect in every way. Virgos also have excellent attention to detail, and everything must have a place and be tidy.” Virgos therefore need plenty of neat storage space to help make the space look tidier. That’s why a Virgo bathroom will feature lots of functional bathroom gadgets and storage solutions, including vanity units, pull-out drawers, or a toilet roll caddy.
You can always expect a tidy bathroom from a Virgo, as well as earthy colours – think of green vanity units, alongside brown (and even floral-themed) ornaments and panels for a more structured feel. These tones create a sense of tranquillity and luxury, perfect for a Virgo.
Libra (23rd September-22nd October)
“Libras love luxury and their bathroom should be beautiful; you want to hear people GASP when they see it. Libras are harmonious and balanced beings and only get that way by enjoying downtime,” comments Emily.
Think of Grecian interiors and run with it; incorporate Grecian-style ornaments or framed wall art to really add a sense of stature and beauty. A marble finish on tiles and floors provides a luxury hotel-like look, transforming the bathroom and creating a statement. Good lighting is important for a Libra, so opt for light-up LED mirrors or good-quality blinds that welcome the most natural light. A waterfall shower or statement bath is a brilliant touch for Libras to enjoy their much-needed downtime.
Scorpio (23rd October-21st November)
Emily says: “Intense and dark, a Scorpio bathroom should be like walking into a movie set. Art-deco really suits your personality, bringing brooding artwork to your space, and a Scorpio’s bathroom is somewhere to be at one with your feelings.”
In terms of colour, a Scorpio bathroom will be filled with dark tones to suit the star sign, from blacks and inky blues to dark greens, with candles to bring that spooky, gothic feel. These moody tones perfectly match Scorpio’s thought-provoking personalities, and a waterfall shower is a must for relaxing in deep thought, so this should be a focal point as a Scorpio. Some abstract artsy touches and some mood bathroom lighting also wouldn’t go amiss!
Sagittarius (22nd November-21st December)
Emily says: “Sagittarius is a sign of freedom; you’re open-minded, intellectual, and always on the go. Represented by the fire element, your bathroom should feel as welcoming as possible, especially since you always have friends and family over to stay.”
Sagittarius are fun and carefree, which is why they crave a bright and airy space. Bolder colours and patterns are a must, with brass or golden fittings to accompany. These muted metals complement bold patterns and offer a luxurious feel, perfect for a welcoming bathroom which Sagittarius’ crave. Sagittarius also love functionality so channel this into the bathroom with excellent storage solutions, alongside a walk-in shower.
Capricorn (22nd December-19th January)
“Capricorns are grounded, hardworking and ambitious, so your bathroom must be somewhere to easily relax," comments Emily. “You work hard and need some downtime, just like anyone else, and your bathroom should reflect that – it should be functional but without the fuss.”
A Capricorn bathroom will therefore feature warm, earthy tones such as green or brown, matched with wood textures and lots of natural light. The enduring appeal of natural wood finishes perfectly achieves a warm, organic aesthetic, bringing a sense of balance and wellbeing for busy Capricorns. The bathroom should also be functional without much fuss, so a bath with a rainfall shower would be perfect for a Capricorn.
Aquarius (20th January-18th February)
Emily says: “Aquarius is an innovative zodiac sign; you’re always thinking outside the box and love setting trends. Some people won’t understand your style, but that’s okay. It’s not to everyone’s taste, but it is to yours, which makes your bathroom so unique and different from the rest, which is your mantra.”
Colour-wise, there should be blue and purple tones, along with pops of pastel colours to embrace their free-thinking personality. Aquarius also loves a bright, airy space. Nothing is too “out there” for an Aquarius, so imagine quirky furnishings like curved countertop vanity units with marble-top worktops. To add further personality, hexagonal tiles with easy-breezy rounded shapes can add some variety.
Pisces (19th February-20th March)
Emily says: “Pisces are the spiritual, creative and sensitive people of the zodiac. If you’re a Pisces, you’re very at home in water – it’s your element after all. Pisces can be quite emotional, so your bathroom could be the place to let it all out.”
Colour-wise, opt for blue, green and pink hues to channel that ocean-feel and help Pisces feel calm. Make sure to incorporate a statement bathtub, which is to be expected for water signs like Pisces! Pisces like comfort, so this room needs to be as tranquil as possible, especially since they’re so at home in the water and find it a spiritual experience.

Lauren gave further insight into the design process behind these astrology-inspired bathrooms: “Designing bathrooms influenced by signs of the Zodiac was a fun and enlightening experience. It’s fascinating to create such inspiring spaces tailored to different groups of people using a palette of diverse colours and textures to suit their tastes.
"I started creating moodboards for each sign by selecting tiles and bathroom products, which gave an insight into how the finished bathrooms would look. Virtual Worlds has many high-end brand partners like Ca' Pietra, Merlyn and Crosswater, so it was easy to drop in the exact products.
"I love how some designs are colourful and playful like Gemini, and bold and vivacious like Aries, while others are dark and cocooning like Scorpio. My favourite has to be Virgo; it is beautiful, serene and a space you will always want to return to relax."
