Bulk Orders & Discounts

For larger projects, such as housing developments, construction projects, commercial properties, and student accommodation, we also offer a bulk ordering and discount service. This is ideal for larger, high-value purchases or one-off projects, where you would like to order a large volume of products or single items in one go and do not want to have the commitment of an ongoing trade account with us. 

All bulk orders and large item orders are undertaken on a quote basis only in order for us to speak to both our suppliers and check stock levels, as we may be able to arrange a special one-off discount level to provide some flexibility in terms of cost that can help with your budgetary requirements. Trade Account Frequently Asked Questions

What is a trade account?

If you are are a tradesperson, or work in a qualifying industry such as construction, homebuilding or interior design, then you can open what is called a Trade Account with us. This provides an initial benefit of providing an extra discount off our website prices to any approved customer who has such an account. This provides a great way to save money, while customers you direct to us can benefit from our expertise and full service offering should they wish to. If you opt to use one of our gold trade accounts, this comes with a whole host of benefits, which you can find above on this page. We have also advised of conditions with opening a trade account, which we would advise anyone to read ahead of applying for an account.

Who qualifies for a trade account?

A trade account can only be opened by qualifying individuals or companies, who work in a specific related trade or industry. This includes:

  • Plumbers
  • Bathroom Fitters
  • Tilers
  • Homebuilding & Construction companies or buyers
  • Commercial property buyers & project managers (e.g. student accommodation, hospitality projects)
  • Interior Designers

Selected other tradespeople such as electricians and joiners are reviewed on a case by case basis and are accepted providing there is a demonstrable connection with ongoing bathroom projects, or where customers are likely to be directed to us regularly. If you would like to check whether you are eligible to apply for such an account, then please do get in contact with us. Unfortunately, we cannot offer trade accounts to any business owner or professions who may fall into a trade but who doesn't fall into one of the above categories.

Are there any conditions with opening a trade account?

We want to make our trade accounts accessible and flexible to anyone who falls into an applicable trade, and to benefit everyone. However, in the interests of fairness, we review all trade accounts annually to see if they still qualify for the level agreed such as whether they meet the minimum spend limits, and in order to reward regular trade customers. As such, in the case of Silver or Gold trade accounts, we may alter the level of your discount to the level below, although we will make every endeavour to contact you ahead of this in order to discuss your requirements, and to see if there's anything we can do to help or assist you at all to prevent us doing this that is fair to others, or that may provide a wider benefit open to anyone.

If your account has been inactive for a long period of time or the account is unused, then we reserve right to revoke all trade benefits altogether although you would be more than welcome to either reapply or contact us should you wish to use it again, and we will be more than happy to consider a reinstatement. If we suspect that your account has been misused for purposes other than those it was designed for, such as for non-commercial or business reasons, then we reserve the right to close the account completely and withdraw all access completely.

Do you have to spend a certain amount to qualify for a trade account?

Bronze trade accounts have no minimum spend limits meaning you can purchase any order value and receive 3% off. Silver and Gold trade accounts do have minimum spend limits, which is applied in order to qualify for the higher discounts. In the case of silver account holders, this will be a minimum of £1,500 annually, while for Gold account holders, this is £5,000 annually.

How do I apply for a trade account?

You can apply for a trade account by completing the form provided on this page further above. You will need to provide a proof of trade, such as a business letterhead or card, as well as any additional applicable information. Simply fill out the form and once received, this will be reviewed by a member of our team, and then you will be notified as to the outcome of your application. Once approved, your account will be activated to the appropriate trade level, and the website prices should update to reflect the discount level applied.

What if I am an existing trade account holder? Am I affected by anything?

All existing trade account holders will be reviewed by our team and moved across to the appropriate level based on past spending history and account activity. Wherever possible, we will always look to maintain customers at the same level as they are currently at and the vast majority of people will be unaffected. However, we have to be fair to everybody who uses our services, and so there may be select instances where accounts are moved to either our Bronze or Silver trade accounts.

I'm a new trade customer: do I have to start with bronze or can I open a gold account straight away?

All new trade accounts will automatically have the bronze level set until you reach the appropriate spending limit. However, we would urge anyone who believes they would automatically qualify for a Silver or Gold account to contact us when opening their trade account and once they have built a basket or order, and we can look to apply the higher trade discount straight from the off so you are not losing out on the benefits stated

Do I have to renew my trade account each year?

No, you do not have to renew your trade account each year. However, we do review all trade accounts annually in order to make sure it is rewarding regular trade customers, as well as being a fair system for everyone. This may include removing inactive trade accounts after a period of time, or we may review the level of discount provided. We would advise any trade customers who feels they may not be able to hit the minimum limits in a year to contact us, and we can look into how we can best support you without losing the benefits you already have.
