This configuration allows excess water to flow securely to the drainage point if your bath is accidentally filled beyond capacity, helping to prevent flooding in your bathroom.
Attached to the drain cover is a matching plug and chain waste assembly in the same finish, which is placed by hand to block the drainage point and lifted to release the water.
