Fulfilling the dual roles of retaining and draining water from your bathtub, this round plug and chain assembly connects to the overflow opening at the upper end and the drain hole at the lower end, linked by a flexible hose.
The plug and chain bath waste functions by simply by placing the plug over the drain opening to form a seal, then lifting it out to enable the water to drain.
If your bath becomes overfilled, any excess water passes through the flexible hose and down through the concealed waste system, directing it safely into the drainage pipework and helping to prevent flooding in your bathroom.
