Abacus Black Thermostatic Dual Fuel Element

Available in three wattage options, this Black Thermostatic Dual Fuel Element is an impressive little product from the Abacus range that would optimise your control of the temperature of your modern bathroom.

Whereas the majority of towel radiators in the UK are powered by a central heating system, this thermostatic heating element is entirely electrical to ensure you can continue to dry your bath towels even when the central heating is deactivated, as you might do in the summer.

Measuring 67mm in width and 83mm in height, this rectangular heating element is installed in between your radiator valve and your bathroom radiator to prevent you from having to flit from one end of the radiator to the other in order to adjust its heat input. On the face of the heating element there is a digital display that indicates the current activity and heat output of the product, in addition to four buttons that allow you to change these settings.

Pressing the circular button with a line through it will alternately switch on and off the radiator, while the button depicting a clock will start a variable heat period, which can be changed from one to four hours. The remaining plus and minus buttons increase and decrease the temperature of your radiator, within a range of 30 to 60 degrees Celsius.

When the heating element is activated, you can take advantage of its Bluetooth capabilities and control it remotely via its smart phone application. Once you have paired the heating element to your device, you can easily adjust the temperature of the radiator as well as manage a seven day heating schedule.

With the option of 120W, 300W and 600W models, in addition to various alternate finishes, this heating element can be easily adapted to suit the size and style of your radiator.
