Product Information
Support the Getting Clean TUBTrap campaign to reach a £50,000 target by purchasing one of these delightful bars of soap along with any bathroom items, or simply on its own, with eight different scents ranging from Sandalwood & Pine Needle to Lavender & Ylang Ylang and many others in between. We have only 300 available and so is a limited stock item.
Each one comes lovingly packed into a small box with recycled packaging, handmade in Leeds. Getting Clean state that the soaps are free from SLS, parabens or harsh chemicals*, and made from 100% natural, essential oils**. These delightful soaps make for an ideal gifting item for friends and family as an 'extra', or simply to freshen up a cloakroom, en-suite, or family bathroom with a lovely smelling bar for users. Due to the small volume, each bar of soap will be sent at random.
This soap brand and its range is the brainchild of Getting Clean founder Chris Sylvester, who created it as part of his recovery from addiction, and wanted to use soap-making as a way of providing opportunity and support to those likewise wanting to start, or going through, recovery also. In August 2026, Getting Clean - and specifically Chris - are undertaking an initiative to raise £50,000 from sales of their soap, with £20,000 - if the target is met - going towards a lived-experience recovery project led by Forward Leeds. During this period, Chris will be spending 60 hours in a trapped in a bathtub in Leeds City Centre without being able to move except for toilet breaks in a bid to fundraise this amount through sales.
Sanctuary Bathrooms is delighted to support this initiative with every purchase of the following items receiving one bar of this soap for free as a thank you for purchasing from us, with the money raised going towards this funding target:
However, we are also offering people to be able to buy additional bars, or individual bars via ourselves, with all money raised from purchases going towards the funding target on top of the amount already contributed. Soaps will be sent randomly and so a specific scent cannot be guaranteed unfortunately due to stock availability. However, any support provided would be gratefully appreciated. Further information about the initiative and the campaign, plus where to find more information about ingredients, information about allergies, and any information about using the handsoaps can be found below.

About Getting Clean
Getting Clean is a Leeds-based social enterprise that makes and sells natural soap, employing people in recovery from addiction. It pledges to donate 50% of company profits to supporting people in recovery. Getting Clean has a mission “to ensure that all addicts in the UK have access to peer support and employment opportunities”.
About TUBTrap
TUBTrap is a live, three-day fundraising event in Leeds City Centre. Chris Sylvester - who is in recovery himself and is the founder of Getting Clean — is “trapped” in a Getting Clean bathtub in Leeds City Square for up to 60 hours, and the public help him out by buying soap. Every purchase counts towards a £50,000 target that unlocks a £20,000 donation to recovery support in Leeds. It is running from 7th-9th August in Leeds City Square, the bath will be empty save for Chris, and he will not be allowed to leave except for toilet breaks. It will also be live streamed on Tiktok.
Forward Leeds' recovery support designed and delivered by people who have lived through addiction themselves — “recovery support designed by people who’ve been there.” By leveraging peer support and authentic connection, the project will create a full pathway of recovery for those involved. If the target isn't met, then the company will donate an amount relative to the amount raised over this period.
