It’s all in the planning!

So here at Sanctuary Bathrooms we have all the gear but do you have an idea of how you want your dream bathroom to look? All good bathrooms start with a plan. We have been in this industry for over 25 years so we certainly have the expertise to help you create a beautiful bathroom. But before we can do that you need to do some prep work. So here’s a few things to consider!

No matter what type of bathroom you are creating – cloakroom, en suite or family bathroom the key consideration is ‘who will use the bathroom and how?’

  1. Is it a family bathroom?

Yes, well then you’ll need lots of storage space. Wall cabinets are great for keeping medicines and sharp objects away from little fingers. Tower cabinets give you lots of space without taking up too much square footage, and vanity units give you a wide variety of stylish and modern storage solutions.

  1. To shower or bathe? That is the question, but it’s a very important one!

Think about a stand alone shower or a wet room with an amazing feature shower rather than splashing out on a bath that you won’t use.

If you like having the option of a shower or a bath then maybe you should consider a shower/bath combo.

  1. Are you hoping to create a relaxing haven in your bathroom?

How about a luxurious feeling freestanding bath? Oh and don’t forget about having somewhere close for those candles and magazines!

  1. Do you and your other half fight over the sink in the morning?

Why not splash out and go for the luxury hotel look and with his and hers basins?

  1. And last, but certainly not least, don’t forget lights and mirrors and all the other bathroom accessories like tooth brush holders!

Lighting and storage in a bathroom are absolutely key, get them wrong and you’ll regret it.

It is a functional room so keep lighting bright especially near mirrors, but maybe opt for wall lights too so that you can dim the lighting if you’re wanting to relax in the bath and have some ‘me’ time.

Adding the right accessories to you bathroom helps to bring the whole look together. Stylish toothbrush holders and soap dispensers, colourful towels and rugs.

By asking yourself these 5 questions you’ll either be able to make small changes to your existing bathroom making it work harder for you. Or if you’re completely re-designing it, you can make it work the way you want it to. Even small changes can make a big difference to your bathroom and your enjoyment of it.

Bathrooms come in all shapes and sizes, and everyone’s budget is different and that’s where we come in!

Ps. Don’t forget to bring along your room measurements with a note of door and window locations! We can then help you realise your bathroom dream!
