GROHE 2 Years +1 Guarantee

Terms and Conditions of GROHE 2+1 Guarantee

GROHE grants guarantee services to the end consumer in accordance with terms and conditions detailed below for all products supplied to the end customer under the GROHE brand, which are marked as products with the "GROHE 2+1 Year Manufacturer's Guarantee. The end customer shall be every consumer purchasing the product. GROHE state that the contractual and/or statutory rights of the end customer as against the respective seller, and statutory rights of the end customer as against the product's manufacturer, shall not be affected by this guarantee.

  • GROHE warrants that products under the GROHE brand that were manufactured for GROHE after 1st September 2016 shall be free and clear of material, manufacturing, design and functional defects. In assessing whether a product is defective, the technical standard at the date of manufacture of the product shall be used as the basis
  • Any defects that occur shall be rectified by GROHE at its own expense by way of repair or replacement at GROHE's discretion
  • Repair or replacement shall, at GROHE's discretion, be performed either by a qualified specialist fitter or a GROHE service employee
  • A defective product shall be exchanged by way of free delivery and installation of a new product of the same type and same quality. Should the defective product no longer be manufactured at the time of the guarantee event, GROHE may deliver a similar product of the same or greater value. Following the replacement, title of the defective product shall pass to GROHE
  • GROHE shall assume the costs for any transport of the product in one direction
  • The GROHE manufacturer's guarantee shall apply for a period of two years commencing from the date of purchase of the GROHE product (12 months for spares) by the end customer. If a valid proof of purchase cannot be produced the guarantee shall run for a period no longer than 2 years commencing from the date of production of the respective GROHE product
  • The guarantee period shall not be extended by any repair work authorised by GROHE or exchange of the product or parts, nor shall it commence to run anew. The same shall apply if these guarantee terms and conditions are enclosed with the replacement product
  • A prerequisite for a guarantee claim shall be the submission of the original invoice with the purchase date and must clearly indicate the name and address of the seller and the place of purchase
  • Moreover, claims under this guarantee shall only be given if the product is properly installed, mounted and operated. The installation and operational instructions as well as the technical data sheet issued by GROHE must always be observed. This shall apply irrespective of whether installation is performed by a qualified specialist fitter or whether the end customer installs and mounts the product on its own
  • In order to claim the GROHE manufacturer's guarantee, the product must be duly and properly cleaned and cared for in accordance with the GROHE care instructions and operated in accordance with the operational instructions
  • The technical product information, the technical data sheets and the GROHE care instructions may be found in the sales packaging and on the GROHE website. In the event of questions concerning maintenance and care, GROHE's after sales service team will be happy to assist and can be contacted on 0871 200 3414 or via the contact page on their website
  • Notification must be given within a reasonable time after the defect has been discovered, however, in any case prior to the expiration of the guarantee period
  • Claims may not be asserted under the guarantee:
    • If the product was not properly installed, cared for, maintained or repaired, in accordance with GROHE' s instructions, valid water regulations and best plumbing practice
    • If the product does not have isolation valves (water and electrical), or the product is not wholly accessible
    • If the product is defective out of the box - in this instance, the product must be returned to place of purchase
    • If the product is not installed/removed
    • If the defect is not attributable to incorrect operation or incorrect handling of the product
    • If the defect occurs due to missing or incorrect maintenance
    • If spare parts other than the original GROHE spare parts are used during repairs or maintenance of the product
    • If the defect was caused by transport or installation of the product
    • If the surface has been scratched
    • If the product is a display/ex-display product, or second hand
    • If consumables (such as filters, filter cartridges, aerators or batteries) or material subject to wear and tear (such as seals) are affected
    • If the defect was caused by a breakage of fragile parts (such as glass or light bulbs)
    • If the defect occurs due to aggressive environmental influences (such as chemicals, cleaning agents), limescale or disruptions due to ice and/or lime
    • If the defect is caused by specific environmental circumstances (e.g. excess or negative pressure in the line, excess voltage, or undervoltage on the line)
    • If the defect is attributable to willful or negligent damage to the product by the end customer or a third party
    • If the product was purchased on auction sites, either consumer to consumer, or second hand
    • If missing parts or product defects are not reported within 30 days of purchase
    • For additional costs incurred (e.g. loss of earnings due to time taken off work, cost of phone calls)
    • For failure to pay any outstanding invoice for non-warranty calls
  • GROHE will review each specific case and assess whether the guarantee prerequisites have been met, and whether there are any grounds for exclusion. If a guarantee claim is asserted, and it emerges during an inspect of the product by GROHE that there was no defect, or there is no guarantee claim for one of the above reasons, GROHE is entitled to charge a service fee of £100+VAT.
  • If, however, the defect is rectified by GROHE, the services rendered may be charged to the customer based on the incurred expenses (material, wages, travel expenses)
  • The guarantee only applies to the extent explicitly mentioned above and subject to the prerequisites mentioned above, and may be asserted by any consumer holding title to the product

  • The guarantee period shall not be extended by any repair work authorised by GROHE or exchange of the product or parts, nor shall it commence to run anew. The same shall apply if these guarantee terms and conditions are enclosed with the replacement product

  • Their guarantee is an additional service that Kaldewei provide to their customers.
  • The scope of this guarantee is as follows.
    • This guarantee shall apply exclusively to defects arising from design and manufacturing defects for which the manufacturer is responsible and which affect the functional properties of the bathtub, shower tray/surface or washbasin
    • Where a product is equipped with the easy-clean finish, the guarantee shall also apply to this surface finish; it does not apply to the anti-slip, full anti-slip and KALDEWEI SECURE PLUS finishes
    • In the event that a claim is upheld, KALDEWEI may, at its own discretion, choose to repair the original product, provide a replacement, or provide financial compensation for the loss of value. This guarantee shall not entitle the purchaser to any additional claim, including damage or loss of any nature, reimbursement of installation and removal costs, or the cost of delivering a replacement product
    • This guarantee shall only apply to products installed at a site within the territory of the European Union and the European Economic Area
  • Terms and Conditions
    • This guarantee shall only apply if the product has been installed by a qualified contractor in compliance with the relevant requirements. These include the safety information and installation instructions

    • This guarantee shall not cover any fittings or damage caused through improper installation
    • This guarantee shall not apply if the product is used other than for its intended purpose
    • This guarantee shall be given subject to proper use and care of the product and its enamel finish, including the easy-clean finish. Therefore Kaldewei strongly recommend that you follow the cleaning and care instructions below
  • Validity Period
    • The guarantee period shall be 30 years from the date of purchase. Please ask your dealer to confirm the date of purchase on your guarantee card

    • If a claim is successful under the terms of this guarantee, the guarantee period shall not be extended

    • This guarantee shall not affect your statutory rights as a consumer in case of warranty claims against the dealer
    • KALDEWEI shall NOT warrant or guarantee, and disclaims liability for, failure to observe the installation instructions or the safety and assembly information enclosed with the product, any problems arising from improper installation or any modifications to the product

Care Instructions

KALDEWEI steel enamel

  • After use, rinse the enamel surface with water and wipe with a soft, damp cloth, chamois or sponge
  • Dry dark coloured products after use to prevent calcium build-up
  • Remove small stains with a regular household detergent or a mild all-purpose or bathroom cleaner; soak heavier stains before cleaning. Always follow the instructions on the cleaning product
  • To avoid calcium deposits, ensure that all fittings are properly sealed and that all water is removed after use. Any deposits that do occur despite these efforts can be removed with a lukewarm 1:1 mixture of water and vinegar (do NOT use concentrated vinegar). After cleaning, rinse the surface thoroughly
  • Personal hygiene products containing naturally occurring oils or fats, such as hair conditioners, shower and bath oils, may leave residue on the enamel surface that will increase the risk of slipping. Use a fat-removing alkaline cleaner to remove these stains and follow up with an acidic cleaner before rinsing the surface with clean water
  • When using a drain cleaner, please read the manufacturer’s instructions carefully and pour the cleaner directly into the drain. Take care not to splash drain cleaner onto the enamel surface and remove splashes promptly
  • Always observe the care instructions for the fittings on your product
  • Do not use coarse, abrasive cleaning products, strong acidic or alkaline cleaners (not suitable pH <2/5> and <8/10>, e.g. concentrated vinegar, chlorinated alkaline cleaners), steel wool, scouring pads, laundry detergents and washing powder or laundry detergent/washing powder suds
  • Surface damage caused by incorrect treatment can often be repaired using the KALDEWEI Enamel Pen or the KALDEWEI Enamel Set.

Easy-clean finish (standard finish for washbasins, optional for bathtubs and shower trays/surfaces)

  • The same care instructions apply as for KALDEWEI steel enamel. In addition, carefully observe the following cleaning instructions
    • Do not use microfibre cloths
    • Under no circumstances should mortar, tile adhesive or joint filler, building dust, sand and other abrasive materials be allowed to come into contact with the surface finish
    • KALDEWEI CARE accessories (may vary by region): The KALDEWEI Enamel Cleaner is NOT suitable for use on surfaces with easy-clean finish

Anti-slip, full anti-slip, KALDEWEI Secure Plus (optional for bathtubs and shower trays/surfaces)

  • Caution! Soiling can impair the non-slip effect of these surface finishes. In order to retain the special surface texture, care must be taken to ensure proper care and cleaning
  • The same care instructions apply as for KALDEWEI steel enamel. In addition, carefully observe the following cleaning instructions
    • After cleaning, rinse the surface with plenty of water and dry with a shower or window squeegee. Remove stubborn stains using a soft hand brush
    • Do not use non-lint-free cloths or moist disposable wipes
    • KALDEWEI CARE accessories (may vary by region): The KALDEWEI Enamel Cleaner is NOT suitable for use on surfaces with non-slip properties

Installation Instructions

  • Please read and observe the safety information and assembly instructions enclosed with the product or installation system
  • Always use the original packaging for transportation of the product. Treat with care and ensure proper handling during transport, unpacking and installation
  •  Fit steel enamel products during the fine installation stage and cover until all building work has been completed
  • During installation, ensure that the enamel surface does not come into contact with any metal. This includes the installation of appropriate waste fittings or waste and overflow fittings with double lip seal
  • During installation, ensure that the surface below the lower edge of the bathtub or shower tray does not come into direct contact with mortar or adhesive. The use of tub/tray installation sound insulation tape such as WES 130 is recommended. Please read and follow the usage instructions for all materials and tools used during installation. In particular, this includes all safety requirements in the relevant manufacturer's instructions as well as the curing and flash-off times for multi-component mortar, adhesives and sealants
  • When using accessories or products from other manufacturers check for suitability and follow the manufacturer’s instructions
  • Prior to installation, check the product for dimensional accuracy, colour, proper functioning and defects
  • Once the product is fitted and connected, carry out a water drainage test ensuring that all residual water drains completely before permanent installation
  • Before applying the elastic joint seal, weigh down the bathtub or shower surface. Do not remove the weight until the seal has fully cured
  • KALDEWEI cannot be held responsible for additional costs resulting from defects which are apparent before the installation. It is the installer’s responsibility to test the unit and to inform his contracting partner of any faults. Breach of this duty may result in loss of the right of recourse
  • Always comply with national and regional standards and regulations relating to bathroom fittings and electrical installations and to fire safety as a matter of priority. The same applies to national accident prevention regulations
  • Ensure proper stabilisation, bearing capacity and structural stability and use appropriate mounting hardware for wall or floor fitting

  • KEUCO's manufacturer‘s warranty begins two years and ends five years after the purchase of the product (warranty period)
  • During the manufacturer‘s warranty period, proven product defects will be eliminated, free of charge, either by repairing them, by replacing the parts affected or by delivering a replacement product, the choice being at KEUCO's discretion
  • No other warranty services will be provided
  • Warranty claims must be filed in writing with a detailed description of the defect immediately after it has occurred. Claim should be addressed to KEUCO GmbH & Co. KG, Oesestr. 36, 58675 Hemer, Germany
  • KEUCO reserve the right to request these damaged parts to be sent to them for inspection
  • In order to activate the manufacturer‘s warranty, you must prove the time of the purchase of the defective product to KEUCO by presenting a receipt containing a date issued by a commercial dealer
  • Electrical components and light bulbs are excluded from this manufacturer‘s warranty
  • The manufacturer‘s warranty, moreover, does not extend to KEUCO products that were ever assembled before you purchased them (display items and such like)
  • The warranty in particular does not cover wear, damage or defects attributable to improper use or improper care/handling or to incorrect assembly. Nor does it cover product defects that only marginally affect the value or the serviceability of the product. Damage and consequential damage caused by using unsuitable replacement parts in our products are likewise not covered by this warranty
  • The manufacturer‘s warranty does not extend to work performed in the readjustment/fine adjustment of bathroom furniture and mirror cabinets, because these are being pre-adjusted at the factory for perpendicular mounting
  • Structural and colour deviations attributable to the materials used may cause the colour of our products to change over time. Such colour deviations therefore do not constitute grounds for complaint and are not covered by this manufacturer‘s warranty
  • Warranty periods are not extended by any services rendered under the manufacturer‘s warranty
  • Warranty claims against the vendor shall not be affected by the manufacturer‘s warranty
  • The manufacturer‘s warranty is governed by German law

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • You have purchased a high-quality product made by KEUCO. With the right care, your KEUCO products will give you convenience and pleasure for a long time.
  • Appropriate care is one of the main factors for upholding any KEUCO manufacturer’s guarantee
  • ACCESSORIES
    • The following instructions must be observed without fail in order to preserve the beauty and functionality of your accessories:
      • Dirt and scale deposits can be removed with a soft cloth, water and a skin-friendly cleanser, preferably washing-up liquid.
      • Other materials, such as crystal glass, can be cleaned properly with the help of a soft, dry cloth. Soap residue in soap dishes can cloud the glass if left for a long period of time. For this reason rinse the glass regularly with warm water and remove all soap residue.
      • Never use any cleaning agents or disinfectants containing alcohol or acid.
      • Scouring and abrasive agents must also be avoided. Scale-removing agents must not be used either, for they damage the surface and compromise the reliability of the fitting in the wall.
      • Severely soiled gold surfaces can also be cleaned with a commercial gold-cleaning agent.
  • SANITARY FITTINGS
    • Our cleaning recommendations were developed in consultation with leading cleanser manufacturers
    • Modern sanitary fittings today are made from a wide variety of materials in order to meet the market’s requirements in respect to design and functionality. Consequently, they present a variety of challenges for the cleansers used, whose ingredients must be compatible with the materials to be cleaned
    • In order to avoid damage and complaints, it is necessary to take certain criteria into account both for using the fittings as well as subsequently cleaning them
    • Use only neutrally netting silicone
  • PLANNING CLEANING ACTIVITIES IN PUBLIC AND COMMERCIAL AREAS
    • The category of public and commercial buildings ranges from hospitals and facilities in the food industry to sports facilities, hotels and restaurants, for example, whose cleaning needs in the sanitary area vary widely in respect to the formation of dirt and scale deposits.
    • Careful planning is essential in order to select an agent and method appropriate to the required cleaning task and should take into account at least the following aspects:
      • Place of use
      • Frequency and intensity of cleaning (basic or regular cleaning)
      • Type of products installed (base and surface materials)
      • Condition of the installed products
  • SURFACE FINISH OF SANITARY FITTINGS
    • The majority of sanitary fittings have a chrome-nickel finish, meeting the requirements of DIN EN 248, although the following surface materials are also used:
      • Stainless steel
      • Plastics, including powder-coatings and wet-coatings
      • Anodized aluminium
      • PVD-coatings (hard material layers with a metallic appearance)
      • Special galvanic finishes, such as gold, aranja etc.
    • With the exception of PVD coatings, coloured, non-metallic surface finishes are always more susceptible to damage, particularly scratching, than is the case with metallic finishes
    • Before starting to clean the product, it is therefore advisable to determine the type of sanitary fitting
  • CLEANSERS FOR SANITARY FITTINGS
    • Acids are an indispensable ingredient in cleansers when it comes to removing scale deposits
    • The following points must be noted without fail when cleaning sanitary fittings
      • Only cleansers explicitly approved for this purpose may actually be used
      • Cleansers containing hydrochloric acid, formic acid or acetic acid must not be used, as these can cause considerable damage
      • Similarly, cleansers containing phosphoric acid can only be used within certain limits
      • Cleansers containing chlorine bleach must not be used
      • Abrasive cleansers and equipment, such as inappropriate scouring agents and pads, must not be used
      • Different types of cleansers which have been mixed together must also not be used
  • CLEANING SANITARY FITTINGS
    • The directions for use of the cleanser manufacturer must be observed without fail. General points to note:
      • Only clean the fitting as much as is necessary
      • The amount of cleanser and the exposure time must be adapted to the facility’s specific requirements and the effects of the cleanser must not be allowed to act for longer than necessary
      • The formation of scale should be prevented through regular cleaning
      • If necessary, existing scale deposits should be removed by applying the product directly
      • When applying a spray cleanser, the cleanser must never be applied directly to the fitting, but only to a cloth with which the fitting is then cleaned, as the spray may penetrate into small openings and gaps in the fitting and cause damage
      • After cleaning, the fitting must be thoroughly rinsed with clear water in order to remove all remaining residue of the product
  • IMPORTANT NOTES: Surfaces which are already damaged may suffer additionally when exposed to a cleanser. Body care agents, such as liquid soap, shampoo and shower gel, can also cause damage. It is therefore important to ensure that the surface is rinsed with clear water after use to remove any residues
  • BATHROOM FURNITURE
    • Always use a soft, damp cloth or leather to clean your bathroom furniture. Take care to wipe dry all parts following use or cleaning. A little ethanol-based cleanser or mild washing-up liquid should be added to lukewarm water to remove stubborn stains. The parts must be rubbed until dry with a soft, lint-free cloth after cleaning. Never use cleaning agents that contain acetic or citric acid, alcohol-based cleaning agents (e.g.) scouring powder, solvent-based cleaners or other chemicals
  • MIRRORS / MIRROR CABINETS
    • Mirror surfaces should only be cleaned with a damp chamois leather
    • Do not use commercial glass-cleaning agents
    • The mirror edges should be wiped dry only
    • Open bottles or containers of WC or pipe cleaner, nail varnish remover or similar must not be kept near the mirror
  • LIGHTS
    • The following instructions must be observed without fail in order to preserve the beauty of your lights
    • Dirt and scale deposits can be removed with a soft cloth, water and a skin-friendly cleanser, preferably washing-up liquid
    • Never use any cleaning agents or disinfectants containing alcohol or acid. Scouring and abrasive agents must also be avoided
  • WASHBASINS
    • Cast mineral
      • Please observe the aforementioned cleaning instructions for routine cleaning
      • For stubborn stains we recommend the KEUCO “Cast Mineral Cleaning and Care Product”. This cleanser is included with each KEUCO cast mineral washbasin and is also available through the KEUCO spare part shop on the Internet (www.keuco.com)
      • In order to preserve the high quality and shining finish, the cast mineral washbasin should be polished one to two times every year with a fine polishing agent (e.g. car polish)
    • Ceramic
      • KEUCO ceramic washbasins are finished using the special surface sealant, CLEANPLUS. This makes care and cleaning even quicker and easier. CLEANPLUS makes the ceramic surface especially smooth. Dirt and deposits cannot take hold and are washed away by water, which pearls into large droplets. This also considerably reduces limescale deposits. Since most residues are rinsed away with the water, only warm water and a mild cleanser are necessary to clean the washbasin
      • Only use soft, non-abrasive sponges or cloths, and only mild vinegar-based or general cleansers. Recommended are all cleansers with a neutral pH level such as neutral cleansers
      • Do not use any aggressive and abrasive cleansers such as e.g. scouring cream, scouring powder, drain cleanser, fittings cleanser, steel or pot cleansers, or steel wool. These can impair CLEANPLUS characteristics and scratch the glaze
      • CLEANPLUS is resistant to the acids and lyes which occur in the household. The material is also fully heat resistant
      • The lasting effects of CLEANPLUS under conditions where the care instructions are complied with were tested and confirmed by the Forschungsinstitut für Glas und Keramik (FGK) (Research Institute for Glass and Ceramics)
      •  Since less cleanser is necessary for cleaning, CLEANPLUS has lasting benefits for the environment
    • Glass
      • Cleaning the surface is very easy. This is done with warm water, a soft cloth or sponge, and common glass or vinegar cleansers. Here only cleansers without abrasive ingredients may be used
    • Varicor
      • Your Varicor® washbasin from KEUCO has a silky-matt and warm surface. The easy-to-care-for material satisfies the highest demands on durability and hygiene
      • If you abide by the following instructions for cleaning and care you can retain these characteristics without much effort
      • To retain the uniform surface appearance, during the initial months we recommend you use a mild scouring cream once or twice a month to care for it. Apply the cream cleanser to the entire surface in a circular motion using a moist cloth. Then rinse the surface with clear water, and dry it with a soft cloth
      • Use warm water, a mild cleanser and a soft cloth to clean the washbasin on a daily basis. If some residues cannot be removed, use a mild scouring cream as described above. Then rinse the surface with clear water, and dry it with a soft cloth
      • Varicor® is resistant to the acids and lyes which occur in the household. The material is also fully heat resistant.
